The lesson I am here to learn is... to have the security and love within myself to be at peace despite what turmoil may be happening or can occur. I cannot control all factors... I cannot control when others leave, it does not equate to abandonment.. and it doesnt need to be compared to how I feel my.mother abandoned me ...

Right, I see you Elisa! I wonder how you can show up for the part of you that feels abandonment, so that unconditional love and care can be sourced from within 🫂

The lesson I am here to learn is to give someone a chance to show up. I've always handled things myself and extended often to handling things for others as well. I think I am meant to learn that doing so minimizes the other person and can challenge their agency or make them feel like they're "less than". I need to allow there to be more balance in our relationship (if we get back together) and let her do things for herself and even handle things for me sometimes.

Yesssss, I see you!!! It's so easy to fall into over-functioning and that tends to leave the other partner in under-functioning... which only leads to a bigger and bigger imbalance as time goes on. Thank you for sharing and letting us witness you in this!

The lesson I am here to learn is I cannot hand my sense of safety to another human being and then wonder why I chronically feel unmet and unseen. I cannot keep looking for the relationship that is going to save me- and I have to meet the parts of me that feel chronically vulnerable, unfulfilled and taken advantage of and protect them myself
