I know you guys hear me say it all the time, but even I need the reminder sometimes: Boundaries aren't about changing the other person—they're about honoring your own needs and safety. True healing comes when we take accountability for our part. When I get into a conflict with someone, sometimes I hold onto feelings inside, like being angry or upset. I used to think saying 'sorry' for my part meant the other person was right.
But then I learned something that felt more true for me: saying sorry or 'making a repair' isn't about who is right or wrong. It's actually about helping me let go of the upset feelings inside me. This way, I can feel calm and peaceful again. Understanding this changed how I handle conflicts, especially with my family, and bridged deeper connection and vulnerability in my relationships.
