Here’s the thing that we need to really start understanding: we have spent countless days, months, and years over-identifying and picking apart our mind’s stories, beliefs, and thoughts. In doing so, we have completely neglected our bodies stories which hold the keys to our deepest forms of healing and transformation.
In today’s episode I guide the women on the call through a somatic practice where you will take away information and an experience that will illuminate how your body is physically responding to certain patterns and tendencies.
With this wisdom and practice you can begin to access the precise actions needed for you to clear what is blocking you from living your most fulfilling and authentic life.
Somatic Practice
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
Bring your attention to your body and notice where you feel different sensations, such as tightness, heaviness, or lightness.
Explore different words that represent patterns you find yourself in
Example: "over-giving", "self-doubt", "worry", "helplessness", and "codependency."
Notice where you feel that in your body. What color, shape, texture, or size do you notice?
Acknowledge and validate that sensation by saying "I see you."
Take a deep breath and exhale slowly, shaking or moving your body to release any built-up energy or tension.
Reflect on how your body responded, and use the insights from this practice to inform your inner child healing an d shadow work.
